Code Vein is an Action RPG developed by Bandai Namco, announced in April 2017 and set to release in September 2018, but it delayed and release will be in 2019 some time. Game mechanics is similar to that of Dark Souls. And you know what that means. Get ready to meet some unforgiving Monsters and Bosses. Bandai Namco has beautifully combined this game mechanics with Anime world to bring a version of their own game to life. Let me a tell you guys, It’s actually pretty good and maddening.(If you have played Dark Souls you might have an idea of maddening part I am talking about).

Here how the story goes
After the Great Collapse, A catastrophic event that wiped out most of the population on Earth, An group of people called Revenant starts to appear. A team of people have found a way to bring the dead corpses back to life. These revived beings now have superhuman abilities. And if they die in battle, and their heart is still intact, they can be revived again. But the cost of losing their memories. They also rely on blood to activate their abilities.
You play as a one of a revenant. Going to these dangerous places to find a cure .So that you can free yourself and your companions, from this living nightmare.
So, what kind of Game play does Code Vein video game have?
As I mentioned before the gameplay will be similar to that of Dark Souls. The A.I movements and attacks pattern differ as you shift your positions. So there will be lots of rolling, back jumping, backstabbing, blocking, slashing, analyzing the opponent’s movements, creating a strategy, and of course dying a lot.
Code Vein video game also offers a buddy system and gifts for players to use in battle.
What does this Buddy System mean?
It means you can take a companion with you to these areas. You will meet different types of companions as you travel. Each companion has their own unique characteristics. Some are good in giving support, like giving buffs and all. Whereas some just go head-on to battle. Their weaponry is also different.
What types of weapons are available in Code Vein?
The player can have single-handed weapons like swords, two-handed heavy weapons, and a claw weapons. There is also long ranged weapon available for use.
The gifts you use affect these weapons as well.
What are gifts in Code Vein?
Gifts are special abilities that player has. There is a variety of gifts available for the player to use. Some give buffs like extra damage and defense, while other gives elemental damage to weapons.
Bloods are needed to activate these gifts. That you obtain from enemies.
The gifts can be set using ability tree.

Unlike other video games, you can choose which abilities you like from a branch and move to another tree. Create your own ability tree. Thus, create a unique character of your own special class.

Yes, developers have said Code Vein video game will have a multiplayer. You can create a team of three members, A companion, and Two players.

While playing Code Vein, I am definitely sure you feel a sense of living in an anime. The Bandai is known for their ability to bring as much as anime feel to their games along with a beautiful back story. Combining these elements with this type of gameplay is a huge step, which is not easy. Yet they have achieved it.
